About Spidle Counselling

Spidle Counselling was founded on the belief that it is never too late to make changes to improve ourselves and live a more rewarding life.

A message from Gina

My own personal history with depression, anxiety and grief lead me to want to help others with their struggles. Although I reached out, I never really found someone I connected with who understood what I was experiencing.

It wasn’t until later in life that I learned the tools I needed to get myself on a healthy path; body and mind.

I work primarily with addiction, eating disorders, grief, depression and anxiety. I also do couples therapy.

I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and I also draw from Polyvagal Theory and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

I have called the Annapolis Valley my home since 1999. I am a Counsellor at Acadia University and also operate a private practice.

I am a Registered Counselling Therapist and a Canadian Certified Counsellor, registered with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I am a graduate of Acadia University (M.Ed in Counselling), Saint Mary’s University (BA in Soc) and Success College (Corrections Diploma).

I believe in empowerment. Whether you are struggling with addictions, eating disorders, grief, depression, anxiety, or simply feeling overwhelmed with day to day life, book an appointment. I am here to help.

Sincerely,

Gina
